Variable Acceleration in 2-d Differentiation Problems | Year 2 Mech | A Level Maths

When motion in a plane has variable acceleration, calculus is applied to position vectors component by component. In this lesson you will learn how to differentiate a position vector r with respect to time to find v = dr/dt and a = dv/dt = d^2 r / dt^2, identify the speed as the magnitude of v, and find quantities such as the time at which a particle is moving in a given direction.
