Working With Reciprocal Trig Functions | Year 2 Pure | A Level Maths

The reciprocal trig functions sec, cosec and cot extend the family of trig functions and feature in many Year 2 problems. In this lesson you will learn the definitions sec(theta) = 1/cos(theta), cosec(theta) = 1/sin(theta) and cot(theta) = cos(theta)/sin(theta), evaluate them at standard angles, and understand their graphs, ranges and domains. The lesson also covers arcsin, arccos and arctan and prepares you for the Pythagorean trig identities.
