Circle Sectors and Triangles | Year 2 Pure | A Level Maths

Radians simplify the arc length and sector area formulae enormously. In this lesson you will learn how to use s = r theta for arc length and A = (1/2) r^2 theta for the area of a sector of a circle, combine these with triangle area formulae such as (1/2) ab sin(C), and tackle composite shapes that combine sectors and triangles. The lesson covers worked examples on shaded regions and the perimeter of a sector.
