The Sine Double Angle Formulae | Year 2 Pure | A Level Maths

The double angle formula for sin is one of the most useful identities in A-level trigonometry. In this lesson you will learn how to derive sin 2A = 2 sin A cos A from the compound angle formula, apply it to evaluate exact values, prove identities, and solve trigonometric equations. The formula also features heavily in integration, particularly when integrating products such as sin x cos x.
