Sketching Curves of Modulus Function | Year 2 Pure | A Level Maths

The modulus function reflects negative values across the x-axis and is a standard piece of the A-level curriculum. In this lesson you will learn how to sketch the graph of y = |ax + b|, transform a known graph to y = |f(x)| or y = f(|x|), and use the resulting graph to read off solutions of equations and inequalities. For example, the graph of y = |2x — 1| can be used to solve |2x — 1| = x or |2x — 1| > x.
