Nth Term of an Arithmetic Sequence | Year 2 Pure | A Level Maths
Arithmetic sequences have a constant common difference and are one of the cleanest examples of a sequence with a closed-form formula. In this lesson you will learn how to use the nth-term formula u_n = a + (n — 1) d, find a and d from given information, identify whether a sequence is increasing, decreasing or periodic, and connect the formula back to the term-to-term rule. These skills support the work on series sums that follows.
