Quadratic Inequalities | Year 1 Pure | A Level Maths
Quadratic inequalities require both algebraic and graphical understanding, and this lesson develops the standard A-level method. In this lesson you will learn how to solve inequalities of the form px^2 + qx + r >= 0 by factorising or using the formula to find the critical values, sketching the parabola to read off the solution, and expressing the answer using set notation or the connectives ‘and’ and ‘or’. This skill underpins later work on the discriminant, modelling and curve sketching.
