Combined Events | Year 1 Stats | A Level Maths
Combined events arise whenever you ask about the probability of more than one outcome happening together. In this lesson you will learn how to use Venn diagrams and tree diagrams to model combined events, apply the addition rule P(A union B) = P(A) + P(B) — P(A intersect B), use the complement P(A’) = 1 — P(A), and combine these rules with the multiplication rule for independent events.
