Working With Parametric Equations and Cartesian Equations | Year 2 Pure | A Level Maths
Parametric equations describe curves where x and y are each given as functions of a parameter t. In this lesson you will learn how to convert between parametric and Cartesian forms for standard examples such as x = 3 cos t, y = 3 sin t (a circle of radius 3), x = 5t, y = 5/t (the curve xy = 25), and x = 5t, y = 3 t^2 (a quadratic curve). Particular attention is paid to the domain of the parameter t.
