Trapezium Rule | Year 2 Pure | A Level Maths
The trapezium rule provides a simple and effective way of estimating a definite integral when an analytical solution is not available. In this lesson you will learn how to apply the trapezium rule with a given number of strips, evaluate integrals such as integral from 0 to 1 of sqrt(2x + 1) dx using values at x = 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1, and use a sketch on a given graph to determine whether the trapezium rule gives an over- or under-estimate.
