Objects In Contact | Year 1 Mech | A Level Maths

Newton’s third law tells us that every action has an equal and opposite reaction, and that idea is the key to handling objects in contact. In this lesson you will learn how to draw free-body diagrams for each object, treat the system as a whole to find the common acceleration, and then isolate one object to find the contact force between them. The lesson covers blocks pushed across a surface and similar straightforward setups.
