Moments In 1-d | Year 2 Mech | A Level Maths
Moments measure the turning effect of a force about a point and are central to the statics of rigid bodies. In this lesson you will learn how to calculate the moment of a force about a point as force times perpendicular distance, apply the equilibrium conditions that the resultant force and the resultant moment are both zero, and solve problems on parallel coplanar forces such as a uniform rod resting on supports.
