Motion under gravity is a special case of constant acceleration that appears in countless A-level questions. In this lesson you will learn how to model motion in a straight line under gravity using g = 9.8 m s^-2, set up suvat with consistent positive directions, handle problems where an object is thrown upwards or dropped, and find quantities such as time of flight, maximum height and impact speed.
