Integration by substitution is the inverse process of the chain rule and is a powerful technique when a derivative is hidden inside an integrand. In this lesson you will learn how to identify a suitable substitution, transform the integrand and the differential, and integrate the resulting expression. The lesson is restricted to cases where one substitution will lead to a function that can be integrated, in line with the spec.
