Fractional and Negative Indices | Year 1 Pure | A Level Maths
Indices are an essential algebraic foundation that you will use throughout A-level maths and this lesson develops the skills you need with confidence. In this lesson you will learn how to use the laws of indices for all rational exponents, including fractional powers, negative powers and the equivalence of a^(m/n) and the n-th root of a^m. A secure grasp of these rules underpins later work on surds, exponentials, logarithms, differentiation and integration.
