Histograms are a powerful way to visualise the distribution of continuous data, and they are regularly tested at A-level. In this lesson you will learn how to draw histograms using frequency density on the y-axis, interpret the area of each bar as a frequency, and use a histogram to estimate medians, quartiles and proportions. The lesson links the geometry of histograms to later work on probability distributions and the normal distribution.
