Integration By Parts | Year 2 Pure | A Level Maths

Integration by parts is the inverse process of the product rule and unlocks a wide class of integrals. In this lesson you will learn the formula integral of u dv = u v — integral of v du, choose u and dv carefully, and apply the technique to standard A-level examples such as integrating x e^x and ln x (the integral of ln x being explicitly required by the spec). The lesson covers more than one application of the method but excludes reduction formulae.
