Inverses of Functions | Year 2 Pure | A Level Maths
Inverse functions reverse the action of the original function and only exist when the original is one-one. In this lesson you will learn how to find the inverse f^-1 algebraically, use the property that f^-1 f(x) = f f^-1(x) = x, restrict the domain where necessary to ensure the function is one-one, and recognise that the graph of y = f^-1(x) is the reflection of y = f(x) in the line y = x.
