The Number e and Natural Logarithms | Year 1 Pure | A Level Maths
The number e and the natural logarithm ln x sit at the heart of advanced mathematical modelling. In this lesson you will learn that the gradient of e^(kx) is k e^(kx), why this property makes the exponential model suitable in many applications, and how to use ln x as the inverse function of e^x to solve equations of the form e^(ax + b) = p. These ideas are essential for differentiation, integration and exponential modelling later in the course.
