Reduction to Linear Form | Year 1 Pure | A Level Maths
Plotting log axes turns power-law and exponential relationships into straight lines, which is a powerful experimental technique. In this lesson you will learn how to plot log y against log x to obtain a straight line where the intercept is log a and the gradient is n for the relationship y = a x^n, and to plot log y against x for y = k b^x where the intercept is log k and the gradient is log b. This method is widely used in stats and in modelling.
