The Binomial Distribution: Binomial Problems in Context | Year 1 Stats | A Level Maths
Putting the binomial distribution to work on real situations is a regular feature of A-level exam questions. In this lesson you will learn how to identify the parameters n and p from a worded problem, set up X ~ B(n, p), use the distribution to calculate probabilities of interest, and comment critically on the appropriateness of the binomial model — for example questioning the assumption that trials are independent.
