Advanced connected rates of change problems combine the chain rule with sometimes intricate geometric or modelling setups. In this lesson you will work through harder examples requiring careful identification of which rates are given, which is required, and how the variables are connected — for instance situations where the rate of decrease of the radius of a mint is inversely proportional to the square of the radius. The lesson focuses on developing exam-ready problem-solving fluency.
