Conditional Probability and Venn Diagrams | Year 2 Stats | A Level Maths
Conditional probability deals with the probability of an event given that another event has occurred. In this lesson you will learn how to use Venn diagrams and two-way tables to model conditional situations, apply the conditional probability formula P(A given B) = P(A intersect B) / P(B), and use the rules P(A’) = 1 — P(A), P(A union B) = P(A) + P(B) — P(A intersect B), and P(A intersect B) = P(A) P(B given A).
