Friction On A Horizontal Plane | Year 2 Mech | A Level Maths

Friction is a central concept in real-world mechanics and is modelled at A-level using the inequality F <= mu R. In this lesson you will learn how to apply F = mu R when a particle is sliding on a rough horizontal surface, F <= mu R in static situations, and use these models to determine whether a particle moves and to find its acceleration if it does. The lesson covers limiting friction and statics on a horizontal plane.
