Mean and Standard Deviation of Grouped Data (OCR B MEI) | Year 1 Stats | A Level Maths
Grouped data calculations under OCR B (MEI) use the sample standard deviation convention, and this lesson sets out the method clearly. Using the MEI convention, you will learn how to use class midpoints to compute x-bar = (sum of f x) / (sum of f), the grouped form of Sxx, and s = sqrt(Sxx / (n — 1)). The lesson covers calculations from raw data and from summary statistics provided in exam questions.
