Mean and Standard Deviation of Grouped Data (OCR A, Edexcel and AQA) | Year 1 Stats | A Level Maths
Grouped data requires a small but important adjustment to the standard mean and standard deviation calculations. In this lesson you will learn how to use class midpoints with frequencies to compute x-bar = (sum of f x) / (sum of f), the grouped form of Sxx, and the standard deviation sigma = sqrt(Sxx / n). The lesson also covers the use of summary statistics and shows how to interpret calculator output for the OCR A, Edexcel and AQA conventions.
