Linear Coding | Year 1 Stats | A Level Maths
Linear coding extends naturally to bivariate data and is particularly useful for reducing relationships such as y = a x^n or y = k b^x to linear form. In this lesson you will learn how to apply a coding to one or both variables, work with the coded regression line, and interpret the recovered constants in the original variables. This technique is highly examinable and links directly to logarithmic transformations covered in pure maths.
